Q: Does the unit I am renting have a pool?
A: Only the Beach Club has a pool in the weekly rental
catogory in Imperial Beach. In fact there are very few weekly rentals in
all of San Diego County that have a pool. You should check the amenities
for the unit you rent but if it has any other name than "On the Beach"
there is no pool. The Beach Club units are always the first to fill
because of the pool and other amenities. When we suggest other units they
will not have a pool.
Q: What about towels and sheets?
A: Bath towels, hand towels, and sheets for all the beds are provided. Laundering of those items during your stay are the responsibility of each tenant. Some of the more expensive units have beach towels as well.
Q: What type of condiments do your units have?
A: In general, the units are not stocked with condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard, etc.). Most units do leave whatever non perishable items our guests leave. Generally, not always, there is salt and pepper and sugar available, but that's about it. If you're planning on cooking in the house you should plan on bringing whatever spices and/or staples you will need for your meals. Most units stock coffee filters for the coffee makers.
Q: What type of cooking utensils and dishes do your units have?
A: We have enough glassware, and dishes to set a table for the number of guests listed. There are an assortment of pots, and pans for cooking spaghetti, and other meals. The cooking supplies and dishes are kind of generic. If you are planning on cooking while in the units and have need of something exotic like a garlic press, food processing machine, double boiler etc., you might want to bring them along with you.
Q: What type of soaps do your units have?
A: We stock the units with small quantities of the following soaps. You need to provide whatever you need after the supply is gone.
Dishwasher Soap Powder
Dish washing soap Liquid
Liquid Hand Soap
Laundry Detergent enough for a couple of loads
Q: How about toilet paper?
A: We stock two rolls in each bathroom. We also have a roll of paper towels in the kitchen. After those are gone, you need to provide your own
Q: What is your policy on reserving a date?
A: Our official policy is that your reservation is only confirmed when we actually receive a deposit check from you. We have added the ability to accept Master Card, and Visa for immediate confirmation.
Q: Can I charge my rental on a credit card?
A: Yes
Q: What do I need to do to rent from you?
A: Basically, we need a check, or credit card, for 30% of the rental fee to reserve the unit. You will then need to send the balance 60 days prior to your rental. Send an email and we will send you a simple rental agreement which you can return with a check. Or you can call with a credit card number and be absolutely certain to get the rental. Our policy is the first one in with the deposit gets the reservation.

Q: What is the amount of the cleaning charge?
A: : On most rental units it is $85. Check with your reservation clerk to be certain.
Q: When will I get my security deposit back?
A: After your stay, we have our cleaning service stop by and clean the house. They check the house out and report missing or broken items and report if the unit is left so dirty that it requires more than usual and expected cleaning to restore which thankfully occurs almost never.. In general we send your security deposit back within a 21 days of checkout. If you haven't received it, feel free to give us a call or send an email. The big exception to this when something is damaged or missing from the house. We'll have to assess each situation and will be in contact with you about the remedy of each problem.
Q: How much parking do you have?
A: Each unit has different parking accommodations ranging from two spaces in a secure garage to street parking, Check with your rental agent to be certain.
Q: I know the check-in time is 3:00pm, can I check in early?
A: Usually no in the summer. Sometimes in the off-season you can get in early. In the summer, if the unit has a garage it may be possible to park your car in the garage with your luggage and stroll around town till your unit is finished.
Q: I know checkout time is 10:00am, can I checkout late?
A: Sorry, in the summer when we are fully booked, we have only 5 hours to completely clean and prepare the unit for the next guest. In the winter we can be more flexible.
Q: Are there restaurants we can walk to and from the unit?
A: Yes, there are several very good and very reasonable family restaurants. Check our home page for that list. We have menus in most units from all the good local restaurants that we patronize ourselves.
